This season, the Minnesota Timberwolves are off to one of the greatest starts in franchise history. Much of this success can be attributed to Anthony Edwards and Karl Anthony-Towns, who are the top two scorers on the Wolves roster.

On January 23, Towns broke the single game franchise scoring record with 62 points. Towns recorded 44 of those points in the first half, which included 8 of his 10 three-pointers.

Unfortunately, the Wolves were unable to secure the victory despite the 62 points from Towns. The loss came to the Charlotte Hornets, who took just their 10th win of the season that night.

In an article by SBNation, Towns stated that “Having a night like that on a loss doesn’t feel very good or historic.”

Besides this loss though, the Wolves have secured big wins against top teams like the Celtics, Nuggets, Thunder, and Clippers. If the team can keep this up, they may be looking at a potential NBA finals run.

In an article by The Athletic, current coach of the Wolves Chris Finch stated that “The more we win, the more I want to win.” As confidence continues to build for this team, it seems as though no one is going to be able to stop them.
