Teens all over tiktok are looking for the best “dupes” for all of their high-end makeup products, designer clothes, and more, aiming to look expensive, all while saving money.

Many Sartell Students save money by finding “dupes” of their favorite brands.

Merriam Webster defines dupe as a duplicate or copy, which is what we’re searching for today on Baddies on a Budget. SHS seniors share which of these products they felt gave them the most bang for their buck.

L’oreal True Match Lumi Glotion VS Drunk Elephant Bronzing Drops

The Drunk Elephant Bronzing drops recently gained popularity on Tiktok for providing a sheer, bronzed look with minimal, natural coverage.

Elizabeth Jarnot, SHS Senior, shares that her favorite dupe is Lumi Glotion because “It’s about 30 dollars cheaper, and gets the same results.”

Tree Hut Tropical Glow Body Butter vs Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream

Another product gaining a lot of traction online this year is Sol de Janiero, specifically their Bum Bum Cream, a tropical scented lotion leaving your skin smelling AND feeling great. However, if you switch over to Tree Hut’s Tropical Glow Body Butter, you can save almost $40 dollars, on nearly the same amount of quality product (240 ml). For this reason, this is SHS senior, Bailey Diebel’s favorite dupe.

Beauty products aren’t the only thing consumers find dupes for. Many Sartell students can also find look-alikes for their favorite high end clothing brands on websites such as Shein and Temu. When asked what her favorite dupe is, Sartell senior Morgan Gill shares that her personal favorite is the matching set she found on Shein, a cheaper alternative to the popular Princess Polly set that saves nearly $60.
