As the Minnesota Vikings enter week 11 with a 8 and 2 record they look to finish their last 10 games strong which would set them up for a huge playoff push maybe even a Super Bowl.
When the Vikings were going into the 24-25 season they were dealt with lots of adversity as rookie cornerback Khyree Jackson
tragically died in a car accident, rookie 1st first-round pick JJ McCarthy tore his meniscus, and starting cornerback Mekhi Blackmon tore his ACL. Not only did the Vikings have players get hurt during the offseason but they had players still recovering from injuries done during the previous season like TJ Hockenson who tore his ACL and Kirk Cousins who did not return to the Vikings due to his injury.
As the Vikings were nearing the start of the 24-25 season the big question was who was going to start as are quarterback? The Vikings were left with 2 options: rookie quarterback JJ Mcarthry or former Fortry Niner backup quarterback Sam Darnold. After JJ Mcarthy went down with a torn meniscus during a preseason game the Vikings were left with one option Sam Darnold and it could not have worked out better for the Vikings. Through 10 games Sam Darnold has proved to people that he is a threat at quarterback and led the Vikings to a 5 and 0 start. Not only is Darnold racking up the wins but has been a frontrunner for the Comeback Player of the Year award and even an early candidate for the MVP award.
Not only did the Vikings find a hidden gem in Darnold but the the Viking’s defense has been unstoppable. During the offseason, the Vikings made some big free agent signings like Andrew Van Ginkle, Blake Cashman, and Jonathan Greenard who all have over 5 sacks through 8 games. The Vikings also drafted Alabama linebacker Dallas Turner in the 1st round of the draft and through the first 8 games he has shown lots of potential.
As the Vikings continue their amazing season they look to finish their last 8 games strong and finish first in the division which would lead them to make a strong playoff push.
