On October 14 the disappearance of the 15 year old boy Hu Xinyu gripped China, the local police found his body in the woods by his private boarding school in southern Jiangxi a few months after his disappearance took place. 

At first the police couldn’t tell who the body was, then after recent DNA and similar clothes, confirmed that it was the body of the young boy Hu Xinyu. This latest discovery has raised multiple questions of how his death took place instead of bringing the closure they needed. Where Hu was found is only a five minute walk from the campus only separated by a 2 meter high wall. Although disappearances in China can be common, this one disappearance took a big toll that China has not seen in some years.

The last sighting of the boy was on the dorms security footage going down the dormitory building, on January 7th the police statement stated there was no evidence that he was murdered.
