I watched Benchwarmers on Tuesday night and thought it was one of the greatest movies in my opinion that I’ve personally ever watched.

The movie was filled with comedy, and valuable life lessons, that I thought meshed well together. The three main characters Gus, Clark, and Richie are known as the Benchwarmers who take on a bunch of punk kids to have bragging rights and have the opportunity to play on the field whenever they want to.

The name benchwarmers were started by a guy named Mel, who as a kid was on the bench all the time, and as an enthusiast for struggling kids, he got these three guys to represent.

Gus who is the third member of the Benchwarmers is the star player and has to teach both of his teammates how to play. (via wiki fandom common license)

Clark was a nerd and the town’s paper boy who constantly was picked on.

Richie was a video game store employee who had a boring life growing up as an unathletic person.

Gus the third member of the team was assumed to be a kid who got picked on as a kid because of how short he was, but late in the movie was found out to be a bully at one time.

I would recommend this movie to any sporty person because it’s a passionate and inspirational movie that puts an interesting twist on baseball.
