Kira’s Coffee Corner: Korppi coffee and bakeshop
Who doesn’t love a good cup of coffee? That first refreshing sip of iced coffee on a summer day or the steam of a latte on a cold winter day is like no other.
Kira’s Coffee Corner is a review of local coffee shops around the Sartell/St.Cloud/Sartell area.
This is my third coffee review, and I decided to stop by Korppi coffee and bakeshop!
At Korppi I ordered an iced lavender vanilla latte and a maple chai mini loaf.
The taste of the coffee was very interesting. I thought at first the coffee tasted normal but the after taste was very bitter and left a weird taste in my mouth. I didn’t think the coffee was worth the money that I spent. The coffee was around $6 and I ordered a medium. I wouldn’t put Korppi on my list of regular coffee shops I visit because I really did not like the coffee and the price was not worth it to me.
On the other hand, the mini maple chai loaf was very good. The loaf tasted very strongly like maple, but I was a fan. The loaf was decently sized, and I would definitely buy one again. One thing I liked about Korppi is that they had a good bakery item selection.
The atmosphere in Korppi was very calming. There wasn’t a lot of space in the coffeeshop and everything felt slightly crammed. The area was decorated well, but there just wasn’t a lot of space for a coffeeshop. The waiting area also seemed a little bit awkward.
Overall, I didn’t love Korppi. My coffee didn’t taste great, the area was small, and they didn’t really offer anything special. Korppi isn’t the worst place I have ever ordered coffee from, but I don’t think I would recommend it to anyone.
