Q: What are your thoughts on entering this tournament?

A: I was feeling pretty good about where I was placed in the bracket; I was confident I could go pretty far and do good.

Q: What are your opinions on the seeding you were given in the bracket?

A: I thought I should have been seeded higher, but I took 2nd in sections so it makes sense.

Q: How do you think your matches went? Anything you would change or want to do better?

A: I thought my matches went actually pretty good. One thing I could have maybe done better was watch for the headlock I got thrown in my second match.

Q: What were the emotions you were feeling following your final match as a Sartell wrestler?

A: It was obviously hard knowing those were my last matches, but I’m glad how I finished my season and career.

Q: What has Sartell wrestling meant to you throughout your highschool career?

A: It’s meant a lot to me. I’ve spent a lot of my time in highschool doing wrestling.

Q: What impact have the coaches and your teammates had on you?

A: Especially these coaches, they have had a lot of impacts on me. They’re really close with us wrestlers and they teach us a lot

Q: How do you feel knowing that you are finally done with wrestling?

A: I’m glad that im finally done. Kind of relieved. I think my time with wrestling has just been done for awhile.

Ashton Lipinski:

Q: What are your thoughts on entering this tournament?

A: I was excited, and a little nervous.

Q: What are your opinions on the seeding you were given in the bracket?

A: I was given a bad seed, but I got a good draw

Q: How do you think your matches went? Anything you would change or want to do better?

A: My one match didn’t go well. I wanna change that by winning it.

Q: What were the emotions you were feeling following your final match as a Sartell wrestler?

A: I was pretty sad, but it was a long road so it was nice to be done as well.

Q: What has Sartell wrestling meant to you throughout your highschool career?

A: It’s been everything over the winter, and its been a huge part of my life for a long time.

Q: What impact have the coaches and your teammates had on you?

A: I think the coaches are the best coaches in Sartell. They really connect with you on a personal level, and they are great coaches skill wise. My teammates, my co-captains are some of my best friends. That was really cool to go through the wrestling journey with them.

Q: How do you feel knowing that you are finally done with wrestling?

A: Again its kind of sad, but it was a long road so it’s good to be done.
