AGT singer the “Nightbirde” was a performer that auditioned for AGT on June 8, 2021. She performed her own personal song called “It’s Okay.” She later would receive a standing ovation, which was followed by a golden buzzer from judge, Simon Cowell.
Nightbirde is a well known singer/songwriter that gained fame after she jumped onto the scene of America’s Got Talent. She was one of five people that received a golden buzzer in the sixteenth season of the show. Weeks after receiving the golden buzzer and making it past the first round she was notified by doctors that the cancer she once was free from, had returned. This made her have to leave the show in order to start life-saving cancer treatment. She would fight for her life for months, but would eventually fall to cancer, and she passed away on Feb 19. 2022 at the young age of 31.
Nightbirde or also known as, Jane Marczewski, grew up with the love for music, but it was always a fight as she developed breast cancer in 2017. She began to balance her outside life, music career, and breast cancer all at the same time. While she has cancer she was always signing and writing songs because she found joy in it. She was writing songs to share her story as she was very fortunate and lucky to be alive, and she wants to inspire others in the same situation as her. She didn’t want others to feel alone and hopeless as they move through the stages of cancer treatment.
As reported by Today.com, Simon Cowell said, “Heart breaking news to hear about @_nightbirde, she was an extraordinary person, so brave, so talented. She made a huge impact on AGT and the world. Her determination to fight this terrible illness was remarkable. Rest in peace, Jane. I am sending my love to her family.”
Simon was looking forward to having her return to the show once she was done with her treatment. Judge Cowell was truly moved with her audition as he gave her the gold buzzer, which moved her straight to the finals in Hollywood. Cowell was hopeful for her return, to show off her bravery and talent to the world. America’s Got Talent plans to pay tribute to her in the upcoming season of the show.
Jane was truly one of the favorites to win the show, and it was known by so many people that followed along with the show. After her audition, she was able to produce two hit albums and her songs have reached number one on itunes, and the second trending video on Youtube. Jane continues to inspire others, as she shares her story on instagram. She gave everyone hope, joy, and faith as she left the world.
But most importantly, she is leaving behind her quote “You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore until you decide to be happy.”
Forever rest in paradise, Nightbirde.
