A hit-and-run on a bicyclist occurred in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This occurred back in 2024, but they have now found that the three people that were in the car that caused the collision. Behind the car was a 13-year old, and 11-year-old, and a 15-year-old. The 13-year-old has been charged with murder. The 11-year-old is currently in custody, and officers on the search for the 15-year-old.
Scott Dwight Habermehl was a 63-year-old man who was biking to work when the accident happened. The car that made the impact was said to be stolen, and had ongoing footage of the accident.
It was stated that the 13-year-old was the driver behind the wheel, and the other boys were passengers. In the footage that was found, it was said that the 15-year old boy was making remarks to “just bump him, brah,” in reference to the biker.
Both the 15-year-old and 13-year-old were charged with many counts, and the 11-year old will be put into custody.
