7 year old Ukrainian girl performs national anthem for her country
A young Ukrainian girl named Amellia Anisovych recently performed a moving rendition of the “Frozen” hit “Let It Go” for her fellow citizens at a Kyiv bomb shelter in Poland. She also performed an emotional performance, when she sang a cappella version of Ukraine’s national anthem.
Anisovych sang the national anthem for thousands of people at a benefit concert for her home country Ukraine. Artists from both Poland and Ukraine were able to perform at the event, which was held to help raise funds for the aid organization Polish Humanitarian Action.
Anisovych took the stage before an excited audience. She seemed overwhelmed as she found her spot on the stage but then found her confidence and pride when she started singing. Anisovych’s talents first went viral earlier this month, when a woman staying in a Kyiv bomb shelter encountered Amellia and asked her to sing for those seeking safety. In hopes to keep their spirits up, she launched into an impressive and impassioned performance of “Let It Go,” from the popular movie Frozen. Her blonde hair was braided behind her just like how”Frozen” queen Elsa has her hair done in the movie.
CNN’s Anderson Cooper, who is reporting from Ukraine, was left nearly speechless after introducing Amellia’s “Frozen” song footage this month.
