A Girl Scout’s Cardi B remix will have you wanting all the cookies
It’s a brand new year which means the tasty Girl Scout cookies are in full swing all across the country.
The Girl Scouts try to sell as many cookies as they can which to Californian, Kiki Accius, meant thinking of a creative way to sell her cookies. The 10-year-old remixed the well-known song “Money” by Cardi B to include lyrics based off of selling Girl Scout cookies.
In the first few days of February, Kiki’s mom posted a video online of her daughter reciting words to the beat of Cardi B’s hit song.
“Been in this game since 2014, selling them cookies is my thing… Buy Thin Mints or even s’mores. Please open up when I knock on your door,” the young girl rapped. “I got girls in my troop, cookies to the roof!”
Not even a week later and the video was going viral. It has over 2 million views and many comebacks on twitter. The most famous of which comes from Cardi B herself saying, “I want all the cookieshhh.”
Buyers of this scrumptious treat can choose from 11 cookie options: Thin Mints, Caramel deLites, Peanut Butter Patties, S’mores, Lemonades, Peanut Butter Sandwich, Shortbread, Thanks-A-Lot, Savannah Smiles, and two gluten free options, Toffee-tastic, and caramel chocolate chip.
Kiki had a goal of selling 500 boxes of the delicious options, and she has since exceeded that number by 1,000.
Cookie sales benefit not only the customers who are lucky to get a tasty treat but also the girls selling them. Cookie sales help raise money for troop activities whilst teaching the girls about money.
For Kiki Accius, the benefit of Girl Scouts also included a hint of instant fame. Mom, Shania Accius, told Good Morning America, “This moment, she’ll never forget, and she is loving every second of it.”
