Owen is a current senior at Sartell High School. Owen is a two-sport athlete, employed, and a studious student. He has a way to balance all these activities while still putting his 100% effort into them.
Owen moved to Sartell when he was in 2nd grade. He had previously lived in Dodge Center. He mentioned that the adjustment was easy: “I met my best friends the first night we moved here.”
His parents, Emily and Brennen, have been great role models in Owens life. They have shaped him into the person he is today! He plans to follow in his parents’ footsteps and attend SJU. He is still undecided on his major, but he is leaning towards the business side. Read more to get to know senior Owen Rath!
Owen is a two sport athlete. He plays basketball and track. Owen just finished off a record-breaking basketball season. This year, his team earned a spot at state, making history as it was the second time the Sartell basketball team had ever gone to state. Owen has been playing basketball ever since he can remember and is going to miss playing and the friendships. His favorite basketball memory was watching the Timberwolves play with his whole team.

Owen is just starting up his track season, and he competes in long triple jump and high jump.
He only started jumping for track last year, but he enjoys the sport thoroughly: “Track is a different dynamic compared to basketball; it’s laid back, but still has high competition.”
Owen’s after-school plans include attending St. John’s University. He is yet undecided on a major, but is leaning towards business. Owen is excited to meet new people and stay close to home! Both of Owens parents, Emily and Brennen, attended SJU/CSB. He is happy to follow their footsteps and continue their legacy.
