The topic of the death penalty has been considered controversial throughout the course of history. Some say the death penalty is an inhumane form of treatment as it could be racially or religiously biased. Others are in favor of capital punishment staying around because society has a moral obligation to protect the safety and welfare of its citizens.

While another man has died due to the death penalty, the controversy still stands around the topic of the death penalty and capital punishment.
