They do not only have delicious coffee and tea, but they also have a wonderful, renewing atmosphere. Their motto is “Life isn’t perfect, but your coffee can be!” They exhibit this motto with their craft coffee, specialty tea, and fresh pastries. 190° Coffee and Tea is a great stop when looking for caffeine, a snack, or a place to hang out and study.
190° Coffee and Tea opened in 2022 on the lower level of Lincoln Park’s Enger Lofts apartment building at 1832 W Superior St., Suite 103. The Enger Lofts building includes apartments, a hotel, and main-level shops. The lower level has several small businesses that are perfect to walk through after visiting the coffee shop.
According to the 190º website:
“We work closely with every one of our roasting partners and tea blenders to make sure that what you’re drinking has been sourced properly and crafted to, well, perfection. At 190°, we believe that coffee can and should be perfect, every time. That’s why our baristas are constantly practicing, learning and growing, keeping up with the ever-shifting world of coffee.”
A great selection of pastries from Duluth’s Best Bread is available every day at 190º for those who enjoy fresh sweet treats with their drinks. The selection includes scones, croissants, Danish, macaroons, and “pop tarts.” Positively Third Street Bakery also provides daily deliveries of cookies, bars, and spinach artichoke Danishs to its patrons. Their menu offers espresso, macchiato, cortado, cappuccino, latte, mocha, and Americanos for coffee enthusiasts. They offer seasonal roasts, cold brew, and batch-brewed drip coffee. The coffees served at 190º are roasted locally by Duluth Coffee Company, Dream Cloud, Almanac, and Underwood.
Other beverages available on the menu include frappe, tea mock-tails, chai, matcha, turmeric, Mike and Jen’s Hot Chocolate, lemonade, tea latte, and Lotus (plant-based energy drinks). They provide a tea menu that includes herbal teas, caffeinated tea blends, and classic black, grey, and green teas that can be ordered hot or cold.
