The Chicago Black Hawks announced on Saturday morning that their star rookie Connor Bedard was placed on injury reserve due to a fractured jaw.
This means Bedard will be out for at least seven days but is expected that he will be out for longer. During the first period of a game against the New Jersey Devils, Bedard was hit by defenseman Brendan Smith resulting in Bedard’s injury.
Connor Bedard an 18 year old was the number one first-round pick for the NHL’s 2023 season. Bedard leads all NHL rookies in goals (15) and assists (18) in 39 games this season.
