The two of us visited Cloud 9 Energy Bowls, located in St.Cloud, MN on Friday, September 15th to review the food and interview employees.
We arrived at around 9:00 am; right when they opened, and then ordered our acái bowls. Each of us bought a signature bowl (Galactic Unicorn and Basic Beach). Although this is all that we purchased, Cloud 9 has so much more to offer than just smoothie bowls. They also sell signature smoothies, oatmeal, and even protein balls. During our visit, we conducted an interview with staff member Tonya Heath.
So the first question we have for you is how would you describe the atmosphere of your workplace??
- “It’s upbeat, energetic, and fun!”
Are there any main competitors in the area for foods like this?
- “Nautical Bowls just moved into town, on 5th Avenue and now one coming up in Waite Park.”
What are some health benefits of the foods you have to offer?
- “It is gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, vegan friendly (except honey). Everything is natural sugar or no sugar.”
Would you recommend Cloud 9 to others?
- “Oh yeah! It’s delicious don’t you think!?”
What is your favorite part about working here?
- “You guys, the young people are my favorite, because I am older I get to be around young people who are just full of life.”
What is your favorite thing on the menu?
- “The Gamma bowl with chocolate chips!”
After the interview was finished, we reflected on our experiences while enjoying the rest of our bowls.

Bailey: Acái bowls are one of my favorite things to eat so I knew that I was going to enjoy it here. Although I haven’t tried every signature bowl, the Galactic Unicorn is my favorite so far. What I like the most about this place is the look and mood that they’ve created inside the store.
Morgan: Personally acái is my genuine favorite food to eat as a snack, so I enjoyed it very much. The atmosphere of the place is so aesthetic and calming, but also such a fun vibe.
