Nepal has announced that it will ban solo hiking throughout the country, and this will go into effect next month. There have been many incidents where tourists ended up lost, hiking alone and then eventually died.

The rule will apply to everyone regardless of experience level. Many tourists are not as experienced as some may be in the hiking world, therefore they will need a guide to help them along the way.

Nepal’s Tourism Board claims that tourists believe that the country is unsafe due to the number of tourists disappearing on hikes.

USA Today Reports that the board has not yet released any number of people assumed dead or missing, but due to the sudden mandatory ban, it is clear that many have lost their life.
