Having a role model in your life is very important because it

isn’t only someone you look up to but also the person that shapes you as a person.

Those people in our lives deserve all the thanks we can give them.

For me that person is my dad, and this letter is for him. 

Thank you, Dad, for showing me how to be independent but also showing that you will always be there for me.

Thank you for teaching me how to work hard for my accomplishments and goals. 

Thank you for introducing me to all my interests in life. 

Thank you for showing me the type of parent I hope to be when I’m older. 

Thank you for teaching me how to grow individually as a person.

Thank you for being my guide through life growing up.

Thank you for being my friend but my parent at the same time. 

Thank you for all the life lessons you have taught me and helped me through. 

Thank you for shaping me into the person I am today.
