10. Pringles with Meghan Trainor

This Pringle ad states that anyone, including popular musician Meghan Trainor, can get their hands stuck in a Pringle Can. This commercial is a great way to show how different groups of people enjoy this salty snack and will not let the inconvenient can stop them from eating more Pringles. 9. Doritos with Jack Harlow, Missy Elliot, and Elton John

Because of Jack Harlow’s love of Doritos, he quits his career in hip-hop in order to pick up playing the triangle. Missy Elliot is present and shows her annoyance with Jack Harlow’s new idea. This triangle playing creates chaos across the world over this new obsession. Elton John appears at the end of the commercial to show his talent for playing the triangle as well. Overall, this was a unique way to display the popular chip, Doritos. The unexpected trio of Jack Harlow, Missy Elliot, and Elton John was a wise choice to appeal to various audiences.

8. Busch Light with Sarah McLachlan

The Busch guy states that all that is needed in the wilderness is food, drinks, and shelter. Sarah Mclachlan appears in a tent and alludes to the fact that her song “Angel” has been played countless times in struggling animal commercials. The music plays and McLachlan states,  “For just dollars a day, you can find helpless animals find shelter–,” when the Busch guy interrupts her and states he is speaking about a different type of shelter. In general, this is a comedic way to advertise Busch Light.

Ben Affleck is seen running a Dunkin’ drive-thru where he asks real customers if they recognize him, and he offers to take selfies with fans. Jennifer Lopez pulls up to the window, looking shocked to see her husband working there. This is an uncommon commercial because of the authenticity of Ben Affleck meeting Dunkin’ customers. It was an excellent idea to have the dynamic couple act in this commercial as their authentic selves. Additionally, the ad shows that glamorous celebrities, like Jennifer Lopez, enjoy going to Dunkin’.

6. Pepsi Zero with Steve Martin and Ben Stiller

Out of this year’s Super Bowl commercials, two of them were for Pepsi Zero. Ben Stiller and Steve Martin both display their acting skills while claiming that their goal is to make the audience feel as though their feelings are real. They then drink a Pepsi Zero, comment on how good it tastes, and ask you if you believe they are acting or not. You can then judge for yourself after you have tried it too. These two commercials are very similar, so they are paired as one. Both actors give their individual commercials a unique spin to make them memorable.

3. Workday With Ozzy Osbourne, Paul Stanley, Joan Jett, Billy Idol, and Gary Clark Jr.

The favored rockstars Ozzy Osbourne, Paul Stanley, Joan Jett, Billy Idol, and Gary Clark Jr. think businesses are using the term “rockstar” too plentiful when describing employees. Can those who work office jobs bust out a guitar solo just as real “rockstars” do? However, using Workday will benefit employees throughout their work experience. This is an imaginative notion for a commercial promoting an app for workers.

2. Rakuten with Alicia Silverstone

The iconic 90’s film, Clueless, occurs again when Alicia Silverstone steps back into her role and famous yellow plaid outfit. Silverstone walks straight back into the character of Cher as she explains how using Rakuten saves her money on purchasing clothes. This is a brilliant ad because this recreated version of Cher is not far-reaching from the original one. Even the beloved line “As if!” is included which is the icing on the cake to the well-done ad.

1. PopCorners Featuring Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul

The number one Super Bowl commercial appeals to all Breaking Bad fans. Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul who have been popularized as Walter White and Jesse Pinkman are not seen making the substance they are commonly known for, but instead the snack PopCorners. Raymond Cruz is also featured as the buyer of their new snack. When Aaron Paul states that Popcorners has six flavors, Raymond Cruz insists they must have seven. What an effective way to introduce a new flavor of the snack. Understandably, this commercial is a clear winner.
