The Dallas Mavericks trade players and draft picks for Kyrie Irving

NBA superstar Kyrie Irving has been traded from the Brooklyn Nets to the Dallas Mavericks.

Shortly after requesting a trade this Saturday, Irving was traded to the Mavericks on Sunday.

The Brooklyn Nets will receive Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, and three future picks, the Dallas Mavericks will receive Markieff Morris and Kyrie Irving. 

There was a lot of speculation during trade talks. Several teams made offers including the Lakers which was Irving’s preferred destination. The Clippers and Suns also took part in attempting to trade for Irving.

The Mavericks land Irving in a game-changing trade. The Mavericks have constantly been looking for help to pair up with Luka Dončić and they have finally found it. The Nets have now lost their 2nd best player and now look to build around Kevin Durant.
