45-year-old Tom Brady played 20 seasons with The New England Patriots and played his last 3 seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Tom Brady announced his retirement for the second time on Twitter this past Wednesday, February 1st, which happens to be women in sports day. Has it become a trend for Brady to announce his withdrawal on National Girls & Women in Sports Day?

With a career spanning twenty-three seasons and seven super bowl wins, Tom Brady announced his retirement for the second time in a Twitter video. However, both of Brady’s retirement announcements were reported on National Girls & Women in Sports Day. This has the public wondering, is this a coincidence, or is this Brady’s way of making this National day gain a new meaning?

National Girls & Women in Sports Day takes place on February 1 with the goal of raising recognition for and supporting all females in athletics. This national day creates more support to enhance athletic participation among girls and future generations of women athletes in the United States. This day originated in 1987, however, has Tom Brady ruined the importance of this national day?

For two years in a row, Brady has taken the initiative to release this announcement, stealing the thunder from women’s athletics. Brady claims that this time his retirement is ‘for good,’ yet this statement leaves many people in doubt whether they will see Brady on the field again. Is this the end for Brady, or will we see him again in the fall, and receive another withdrawal video on February 1, 2024?

Tom Brady is an incredible athlete with an outstanding career, but have his retirement announcement dates been intentional?
