2 people dead, 3 injured in Chicago home invasion shooting
Monday afternoon during a home invasion shooting in Chicago, two people were killed and pronounced dead at the scene. Three were taken to University of Chicago Hospital and were in critical condition.
The shooting occurred in broad day light at about around 1:45 p.m. in the South Shore neighborhood Chicago police and fire officials say. Deputy Police Chief Sean Loughran stated this as a “targeted home invasion..It does not appear to be a random act.”
There are currently no suspects in custody according to police. There were, however, multiple suspects who fled from the scene.
Ages and genders of the victims have not been released.
