The Minnesota Vikings 2022 season came to an abrupt end on Sunday, January 15, 2023 to the New York Giants.

Playing each other in the playoffs doesn’t come as a surprise. In fact these two teams have played each other three times in NFL postseason history. The New York Giants have a 2-1 all-time record against the Vikings in the NFL playoffs. New York’s only loss to Minnesota occurred following the 1997 regular season. The Giants beat the Minnesota Vikings in 1994, 17-10 and again in 2001, 41-0.

The Vikings started off strong, but the Giants ended up coming out even stronger. The Giants were up 17-14 at half. The game remained extremely close, but the Giants kept the lead. To start the second half, they got a touchdown to have the lead 24-14 against the Vikings, but gave up a touchdown and a field goal to tie the game 24-24 in the 4th quarter. The Giants ended the game with another touch down to take the lead once again, 31-24. The Vikings were unfortunately not able to catch back up to the Giants.

The Giants advanced to the next round, but their season came to end on Saturday after falling to the Eagles in the NFC Divisional Round.

We were looking to go deeper. Kirk just put it in play.
