Argentina defeats France in the 2022 FIFA World Cup
The FIFA World Cup is held every four years in different countries around the world. Qatar was chosen to host the year of 2022 FIFA World Cup and after 12 years of preparation the time had finally come.
The first game was held November 23rd, France vs. Australia. The 2022 FIFA World Cup ended December 18th, with Argentina and France battling in the championship game.
The final game of the 2022 FIFA World Cup was incredible, with the ending score being 4-3 with Argentina taking the win against France. They did not get this win easily though. By halftime Argentina was winning 2-0 with Angel Di Maria and Lionel Messi scoring those two goals.
France got back up in the second half and tied the game 2-2, Kylian Mbappe scoring both of those goals. The tied game went into overtime, leaving both teams worried. During the overtime, Argentina scored first, but this didn’t stop France. Kylian Mbappe came back and had his third goal of the game. Not only tying up this match but also getting a hat trick. Now that they were tied, they went into penalty kicks to finish off the game.
In the penalty kicks Argentina won, with the PK score being 4-2. Both teams made their first goals and Mbappe made the first one for France while Messi did the same. Next up Kingsley Coman took his kick for France but the Argentina goalie Emi Martinez saved it. Dybala came up for Argentina and made his shot making it 2-1. Tchouameni took the third kick for France and missed, while Paredes for Argentina made his.
Finally, France took their final kick and made it but it didn’t help them at all since Montiel made his shot and finished off the game with the winning penalty kick. Argentina won the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
