Sartell boys swim and dive team blows the Moorhead Spuds out of the water
The boys’ swimming and diving team had their season opener on Saturday, December 17th. After three canceled practices, two canceled meets, and a two and a half hour road trip to the Moorhead high school, the boys were able to get the season rolling with a 100 to 85 point lead over the Spuds.
Sartell sophomore, Truett Carlson got the boys started with a first place finish in the 200 yard freestyle completing the race eight seconds before the second place finisher.
Sartell Freshman, Hayden Lenarz brought another first place finish in the 200 yard individual medley.
Juniors, George Larson and Jackson Hovda finished in first and second place respectively in both the 50 yard freestyle and the 100 yard freestyle.
Truett Carlson had another first place finish in the 500 yard freestyle and the 200 freestyle relay team of Jackson Hovda, Joe Venables, Truett Carlson, and George Larson also finished in first place.
Jackson Hovda, Hayden Lenarz, Truett Carlson, and George Larson brought the team home in the last race of the meet finishing first place in the 400 freestyle relay.
