As Minnesota temperatures reach an all time summer high and the soil begins to dry, fires appear. In a highly populated Minnesota lovers area fires broke out across over 1,500 acres of land.
Evacuations have begun and the residents of Crow Wing have left their homes to seek safety. Highway 6 was shut down Saturday and County road 11. Highway 61 was also shut down Sunday located between Silver Creek and Two Harbors.
According to Crow Wing residents, thirty four structures were destroyed in the fires. As the wind picks up the blaze spreads. Eight people were affected and being treated. 150 firefighters are working on containing the fires.
