With just one quarter left of her high school career, Madi waits in anticipation for graduation this May, eager to finish a journey that started so long ago at Madison Elementary.

Sartell High School senior, Madi Groover, has lived in Sartell for five years. She previously lived in St. Cloud before moving to Sartell in 7th grade. Madi says she liked the teachers the most when she first moved to Sartell, but says the students at Sartell were not as kind as the teachers. Madi says her favorite classes that she has taken while being in high school have been Forensic Science, Honors Algebra with Koubsky, and Body Toning.

Madi’s family includes her mom, Karen, her dad, John, her brother, Hunter, her stepbrothers, Griffin, Tyler, Chase, and Jameson, her stepsister, Lilli, and her stepdad, Jason. Madi’s brother Hunter, a former Sartell High School student, attends Bemidji State University, where he is majoring in nursing.

Madi has two dogs. Cash Money “Cash” and Cowboy. Cash is a mutt, and Cowboy is a terrier mix. Madi’s family adopted Cash from the Tri-County Humane Society in 2023. Madi and Cash love to take naps and spend time together in nature. Cowboy is a tiny, but energetic dog. He and Madi love to go on walks and enjoy sitting in the sun together.

When Madi is not at school or working, she enjoys sleeping, going on walks, and hanging out with her friends.

Madi has made many long-lasting friendships over the years at Sartell. She says that she and her friends enjoy going to Walmart, having sleepovers, singing karaoke, taking late-night drives, and car-roting in random parking lots. Madi says she will miss seeing her friends at school every day after they graduate.e
After high school, Madi plans to attend Winona State University, earn her bachelor’s degree in biology, and eventually become a doctor in obstetrics!
