Senior Spotlight: Layla Boelz

Layla is currently a senior at Sartell High School. She has lived in Sartell her whole life and started her education at Pine Meadow Elementary School. Layla loves being out doors and going hiking. She started hiking three years ago, and enjoys going with her family. This past summer, she hiked through twenty different national parks.

She also loves being engaged in school activities. These include unified and school sporting events. Layla enjoys going to football and volleyball games.

Layla is a family oriented person with 5 siblings. She has 4 younger sisters and 1 older brother. She supports her siblings by showing up to every one of their sporting events, and in her free time she coaches them. Together they go shopping, and love a good movie night. She loves working with children at her job, and wants to continue working with them by becoming a child social worker. Layla is a coach at Granite City Gymnastics and has been working there for a year and a half.

Along with having a good relationship with her family she also has a boyfriend of 3 years named Nolan. Layla and Nolan first met at a Sauk Rapids football game. Together they enjoy going to Nolan’s cabin. They also enjoy hanging out with their group of friends, and staying busy. Layla’s best friend is Jaide, and they have been friends since they were 2 years old. They have been on multiple trips together and love to travel. Together they have gone to Myrtle Beach, Mexico, Chicago, and Tennessee. They are planning to go to Mexico this spring, and a roadtrip to Montana and Utah this summer.

Layla plans to attend St. Cloud State University to major in social work along with getting a minor in psychology. She wants to stay close to home to stay involved with her family and friends.
