Armand Duplantis otherwise known as Mondo has been absolutely dominant in the pole vaulting scene everywhere recently by consistently breaking his own world records.
Some Background info
Duplantis has always been extremely good at pole vault throughout his whole life. Both of his parents were elite track and field athletes. His dad Greg, a pole vaulter with a personal best of 19 feet and ½ inch. His mom Helena was a heptathlete. He started pole vault at the early age of four, and has been dominant ever since.

Current Records
Duplantis holds many records in the sport and is considered one of the best of all time. He just recently broke a 14th world record for height in pole vault at 6.30m (20ft 8in) with 13 of them being his previous records. He also holds the high school world record for height, with a height of 5.93 meters (19 ft 5+1⁄4 in)
Lifetime Achievements
Even though Duplantis is just 25 years old he has been to the Olympics twice and has taken gold twice in a row. He competes and represents Sweden for events such as the Olympics and world athletics meets. He has been only one of three people named world athlete of the year. He has also won many other titles such as:
- Diamond League: Five-time champion, winning the series title in five consecutive years (2021–2025)
- World Outdoor Championships: Three-time gold medalist, winning in 2022, 2023, and 2025
- World Indoor Championships: Three-time gold medalist, winning in 2022, 2024, and 2025
- European Championships: Three-time gold medalist, winning in 2018, 2022, and 2024
- European Indoor Championships: Gold medalist in 2021

Sponsorships/Earnings
Duplantis is a very famous athlete and has many partners/sponsors. Some of his biggest partnerships are Puma, Omega, and RedBull. RedBull recently put him on a can for their original drink. Also in every meet where he breaks the world record the meet will pay him $100,000 but it is only valid once per meet, so he only beats the world record by 1cm every new meet, to maximize his earnings.
