The featured sophmore of this week here at Sartell High School is the multi-athlete student, Hawa Bella Schmidt.
Hawa Schmidt is an amazing person who attends Sartell High School and she has been in the districted her whole life. Hawa is an energetic, active, powerful person in school and outside of school. She has the passion to try many new things and that’s what got her to be very good at her sports.
♥About Hawa♥
Hawa does Track & Field, soccer, wrestling and clubs. She has been doing soccer and track her whole life but this year she joined wrestling and she is already on Varsity. When she is not doing sports, she likes to be on the lake surfing, boxing, baking with her grandma, doing hot yoga or hanging out with her friends.
Hawa’s plans after high school are going to college with a sports scholarship and she hopes to get a law degree. She also would like to play soccer in college. Hawa’s favorite sport out of the three sports is soccer. She has always liked soccer ever since she was 3 years old, plus she is really good at it and she enjoys playing it.

Hawa has four siblings and 1 biological sister who lives in Wayzata with the Sauer family. Her oldest sister, Katie, is a teacher, and she just had her first child in October. Her other sister, Emily, lives in Florida with her husband Derrick. Her third sibling, John, lives in the cities, and he is becoming a sports announcer. Coming to an end, her fourth sibling is Luke, and he is a photographer for the PWHL Frost MN Wild Bauer Hockey.
Her mom works for an organization called Zoe Empowers, and she travels to Africa to help kids start their own business so they can care for their family because they are orphans. Her company has camps or areas in certain countries where they are growing and helping kids who have been earning thousands of dollars with the help of Mrs. Schmidt. Her dad is a financial advisor who has his own business. He first started his company back when he and Mrs. Schmidt first met and he’s been growing it ever since.
