Sophie’s dance career started at the age of 3 at a notable studio in Eden Prairie called “Dance Art Center.” When Sophie and her family moved to Sartell, she enrolled at a nearby studio, Ms. Melinda’s Dance Studio, where she became more competitive with the sport and learned most of the technique she uses now. During her sophomore year of high school, Sophie and most of her friends switched studios to attend St. Cloud School of Dance. When Sophie started high school, she joined the Sartell Dance Team which taught her all about the value of grit, teamwork, and discipline. Sophie gave up studio dance for her senior year which means that her dance career will come to an end after the 2025 dance team state tournament. After thousands of hours of practice, years of determination and passion, and many state appearances and awards earned, Sophie can’t feel thankful enough for everyone that has been a part of guiding her through this lifelong journey of hers.
