Starbucks employees had a three-hour meeting at the store discussing the changes to their policy.
Dine-In Glasses

Starbucks is officially starting to use glasses for individuals who decide to drink in the cafe. These are the same size as their traditional Starbucks plastic cups. They are available for many drinks on the menu. Cold drinks will be featured in a clear glass cup, while hot drinks will be featured in white mugs. To get these cups, the barista will ask you if you would like your drink for here or to go, if the person says for here you will get the reusable glass cups. They are also featuring glass plates for any food item you may order.
Refills
Starbucks has implemented a refill policy on any hot or cold coffees or teas. If you have a glass and are drinking your coffee or tea in the store, you can have as many refills as you would like throughout the same day. You can buy a non-coffee/tea drink and then get it refilled with coffee or tea.

Writing on cups
Starbucks is trying to give the company more of a homey, personal cafe feel. They are now requiring the employees to write notes on the cups. These can be small things like, “Have a good day” or they can be funny jokes. There are no specific guidelines for what they can write on it, but the goal is to have a message on every single cup.
Bathroom, Pup Cup, and Waters
Prior to the new rules of the company, anybody could get the bathroom code, pup cups were free, and water was free as well. With the new policy, the bathroom code will only be given if you are a buying customer. Many people would come in and use the bathroom for things that were not a good use for the bathroom, to prevent this, you must buy something to get the code. They are now charging 25 cents to get a pup cup or a glass of water UNLESS you are a buying customer, then they will be free items. This is to prevent confusion for the baristas when people don’t go through the line to get these items.
