We have had many different water bottle trends in the past few years. Every year a new brand blows up and everybody needs to have the new trending water bottle.
History
Throughout the years, we have had a wide variety of trends. The first trend we had was the hydroflask. In 2019 hydro flasks became a huge trend amongst young teenagers when the VSCO girl trend came across TikTok. Everybody had to have the hydroflask, people decorated them with stickers and made bracelets on the lid. This was the original water bottle trend amongst teenage girls. During 2020 and 2021, Hydroflask stood its ground. During 2022 a new brand came around.
The Stanley was brought to the floor in 2022, and it took over the world. Everybody and their mom either wanted a Stanley or went out and bought them. People went out and collected them and all the different colors they came out with. They would add lip balm holders and keychains to the water bottle to decorate them. Stanley stuck around for two years, then in late 2023-2024, the Owala came to the floor.
The Owala became very popular in 2024. The main feature of the Owala water bottle is its sip and chug straw. It is also 100% leakproof which was a main flaw of the Stanley. The one thing that the Stanley has on the Owala is that all of the Stanley tumbler models fit into cup holders whereas the Owala only has its smallest size fit nicely into most cup holders. Even though the Owala is a great water bottle, people like the tumbler style of the water bottles. Owala does have a tumbler version, but it is not as popular as the original Owala design.

The Hydrojug water bottle
The Hydrojug is a tumbler that is leakproof, fits into almost any cupholder, and has a straw that can move up and down. It comes in many different colors and designs and holds aspects from both the Owala and the Stanley to target both audiences. The price stays in the same range as Stanley and Owala and even is a little bit cheaper for certain colors.
