Squid Games is an uprising TV show that came out September 17, 2021. They currently have two official seasons out now that you can watch on Netflix.
I say you should watch Squid Games after the final season comes out, why? Well the second season of Squid Games does not feel like a full season. Season two leaves you on a cliffhanger that leaves you questioning what will happen next or who captain park the sea captain is working for…
As someone who has watched season two before the final season came out, wait for the final season that will premiere June 27th of 2025. Not only will the experience of watching Squid Games from beginning to end feel better but it will make more sense.
Squid Games is a South Korean survival thriller and drama TV series directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk. When first released, Squid Games gained lots of attention from all over the world. Gaining a very diverse audience.
I also feel it is important to rewatch Squid Games before the final season comes out because of how different season 1 and 2 is. Season one the Tv series starts with a group of 456 contestants, all in crazy debt. They are given a chance to participate in a 6 days series of traditional Korean children’s games for a chance to win a massive cash prize. Little do the contestants know the stakes are high, where losing a game could result in your death but your death goes into the cash prize. Each player’s life is valued at $100 million won, which amounts to $67,851 US dollars. There can only be one winner, but the group of contestants are allowed to vote to leave at any point in the game and go home with nothing but your freedom to leave and the freedom to come back but that rule takes an unexpected turn in season two.
Now season two has the same concept of the games in season one but with new games and lots of twists. Not only that, season two has me questioning the importance of all these side characters stories and how they even ended up working for the games or playing them.
