This week, I’m highlighting Preston Lebeck, a senior at Sartell High School.
Preston was born in Walker, MN; in first grade he moved to Sartell and attended Oak Ridge Elementary School. There are six people in his family, including his mom, dad, his older sister named Bronwyn, his brother Patton who is a freshman in high school, and his other brother Jackson who is in 6th grade.
On his mom’s side, he has a cat named Koshka. A fun fact is that Koshka is the Russian word for “cat.” On his dad’s side, he has a cat named Toffee and a dog named Oden.
In his free time, Preston enjoys boxing. He first became interested in boxing when he got into a brawl with a friend. That brawl inspired him to learn how to box. Preston boxes six days a week and also helps train younger kids. When Preston isn’t boxing, he is either working at Coborn’s or snowboarding at Powder Ridge with his friends.
His favorite song is “Black Hole Sun” by Soundgarden.
Preston will miss seeing his friends daily at school, but he is excited to graduate. Next year, he plans to move to Montana with his friend Owen. They will both work for a flooring company and live with Owen’s dad for a while.
