Sartell Alumni, Morgan Gill, is excited to continue this new chapter in her life!

This week’s featured alumni is Morgan Gill!

Morgan moved to Sartell when she was around 10 years old. Before she started her schooling in Sartell, she went to Maple Grove. Morgan graduated from Sartell High School last year as a 2024 graduate.

Where did you end up going to college?

“I am currently attending North Dakota State University.”

What are you majoring in?

“I’m majoring in elementary education with a minor in special education.”

Do you ever feel homesick?

“I very often feel homesick because I am such a family person, and I love my own space.”

What is one thing you miss in high school?

“The one thing I miss about high school is the connections I made in the classroom. In college, you are in class sizes of 50 or more so you don’t really even talk to your professor.”

What has been the best part of college so far?

“The best part of college in my opinion has definitely been being able to make my own schedule and all of the free time.”

Have you made any new friends?

“I have made so many new amazing friends!”

Are you happy with your decision?

“I am happy with my decision, even though it has been a big adjustment I think it was good for me to branch out.”

Do you keep in touch with anyone from your hometown?

“My best friends are from my hometown, and I talk with them daily!”

Who was your favorite teacher in high school and why?

“My favorite teacher from high school is Mrs. Nelson because she is such an uplifting and caring person who made my day walking into her class!”

Who was the most influential person from your high school career?

“The most influential person throughout my high school career was Emily Stoebe the special needs teacher at the high school. She has taught me so many valuable things about what I want to do for my future job.”

What is your favorite thing at college?

“My favorite part about college is all the free time that you get.”

What is your favorite college class?

“My favorite class that I have had this semester is Human Development and Family Sciences!”
