Questionnaire

What are your future career plans?

“Currently, I am pursuing a double major in chemical engineering and chemistry with the hopes of working in the field of sustainable polymers. Specifically, I would like to develop better techniques and procedures relating to using Cellulose Nanocrystals within industry and develop methods of increasing colloidal stability during polymer manufacturing processes. “

What is your favorite part of college so far?

“My favorite part of college so far is definitely the wide range of classes and activities that I am able to participate in, including a student-led chapter of Engineers Without Borders where we help to address sanitation and water distribution issues for communities across the world. I specifically work on projects in East Africa, mostly in the country of Malawi. “

What do you miss most about Sartell?

“I definitely miss both my class of 2024 peers as well as my educators in Sartell. It’s hard to grow up with such an amazing group of people and not miss them as you go through your final education phase.”

What’s the most difficult part about college so far?

“I would say that the most difficult part of college so far has been managing all of my work. From working in a research lab to being an honors student and taking upper-level honors courses, it can be challenging to find enough time in the day to get all of my duties done.”

What do you do with your spare time, hobbies?

“Unfortunately, I don’t have too much spare time, but outside of school I really enjoy being a Project Lead in the U of M’s Engineers Without Borders program, as well as working in my research group to help further sustainable substitutes for petroleum-derived plastics.”
