Juinior Ava Theisen, reflects on the 2024 volleyball season at Sartell.
Ava had a lot of fun moments with the team but these are some of her favorites:
She enjoyed talking in the locker room before games. The team would also occasionally go out to eat before games and go to Starbucks and Perkins. At Perkins, Ava likes to get a perky bear, which is a pancake shaped like a bear with sprinkles on top. Her favorite game she played this season was against Brainerd; they won all their sets, and every team, including JV and JV2, won. Sartell girls’ volleyball ended with a record of 11-19 6th in conference.
This year, Sartell had three seniors, Kiegan Scoles, Lily Lewandowski, and Kaylee Rademacher. Kiegan is an outside hitter, Lily is a middle hitter, and Kaylee is a setter and they all made a great impact on this years team.
Ava has been playing volleyball for six years and has been on varsity for two years. She is a middle hitter and starts all games. She had so much fun this season and is already exited for the next. Most players on the team are involved in either AVB or JO club volleyball in their off season. Ava will be continuing to do volleyball all year round, so she can stay in shape and prepare for the next season.
