Sartell High School senior, Owen Oxton, is next up on Senior Spotlight!
Owen is the youngest in a family of four with an older brother, Wyatt Oxton (19), and parents Edith and Jeff Oxton. He also has two dogs, Izzie and Ruby. Owen has been a member of the Sartell school district since kindergarten, starting his schooling at PME.
Owen is a captain of the Sartell hockey team and is a part of the Sartell baseball team. Owen has always had a passion for sports; he has been involved in hockey since first grade and has played baseball since the age of 3. Owen is especially excited for his last hockey season. He shares, “I am looking forward to spending one last year with my boys,” which shows the strong bonds he holds with his teammates.
Owen looks up to many influential figures in his life, including his parents, Ryan Hacker, Spencer Meier, Tory Lund, Parker Comstock and his past teammates. This is why he looks up to these hockey players.
When Owen is not busy with school or sports, he enjoys hanging out with his friends, golfing, and going to the lake. Owen was voted for homecoming court, and he enjoyed all the activities that went with it.
Next year, Owen plans to attend a four year college to major in business. When he leaves, he’ll miss his friends, family, and dog the most.
