As the winter sports season approaches the Sartell Dance Team is looking to make their 21st straight state appearance in a row.
The Sartell Dance Team who are led by captains Maddie Winters, Lola Sens, and Ellie Arduser were eager to kick off their season on Monday, October 21st, and look forward to competing in their first competition on November 22nd.
Captain Maddie Winters talks about the upcoming dance season: “ We are all very excited and eager to see what we can do as a team.”
The Sartell Dance Team’s goal is always to make it to the state tournament which in recent years has been a breeze as they look to make it their 21st consecutive year at the Target Center.
Senior captain Lola Sens talked about her experiences at the state tournament stating that her favorite part is seeing the Sartell fan section dressed up in the jazz and kick themes.
As much fun as it is to make state, the dance team has a bigger goal which is to win state which most recently happened during their 2021 season where they won for not only kick but for jazz as well.
Senior captain Ellie Arduser explains how much winning a state championship would mean to her. She says that winning state has been a goal of hers since she was little.
The Sabres will strive to be as best as possible and will continue to live out their team’s long-lasting history.
