David Kushner is a new artist who rapidly grew in popularity after his song “Daylight” reached billboards and had 1 billion streams. His album Footprints I Found which was released in 2022 also had some popular songs that really grew his name.

Song number one: “Cigarettes” 8/10

This song is very laid back and has a calming feel to it. The song has a lot of deep chorus in it, and David portrays the deep chorus well. I like the way it has lots of beat changes but yet still stays on the same deep and calming feel.

Song number 2: “Burn” 9.5/10

This song does a great job at really showing David’s amazing voice. The beat starts low and slowly makes it way to an amazing more fast pace chorus. The repetitive lyrics really show the emotion in the song.  I like the lyrics of this song, and if you like a song that has steady and fast beat this song is for you.

Song Number 3: “Cannon Beach” 8/10

I think that this song has a great low tune and a repetitive beat that carries in the back during the chorus. I think that this one does sound similar to his other ones, but it also has it own unique parts to it. One unique part is the last few second of the song David is singing without any beat or instruments playing with his singing which really shows how good his voice is.

Song Number 4: “Mr. Forgettable” 10/10

This song is one of his more popular songs and is pretty well known. It is one of my absolute favorite songs of his. This song can be seen as very emotional as the lyrics contain lines like “But have some patience for the part of me thats lost.” I feel that David did an amazing job at singing a song for a lot of people to relate to on many different ways. The beat of this song also comes off very soft even with all the emotion put into it.

Song number 5: “Look back and Laugh” 7/10

This song does really well at having a light base while David sings and holds impressive notes. This song does tend to repeat a lot but you are still able to get that relaxed feel to it. This is one of his shorter songs on the album, and I think it is a great song to listen to for trying to get past something or worry less.

Song number 6: “Miserable Man” 8.5/10

This song also is well known by lots of people. I think the song holds a lot of emotion with its lyrics like “All we wanted was a place to feel like home.” This is one of my favorite lyrics because it can be seen in many different ways, and you can portray it how you feel. In the end of the song the same lyric “I’m a Miserable man” is repeated many times which I think it helps close out the song.

Song 7: “oooWoo” 7.5/10

This song in my opinion sounds like a combination of all David’s song put together. It has the same beat as a lot of his songs. This song is more slow then the rest and the chorus sounds exactly like the title with lots of “oo0s.” This a great song to end the album.

Song number 8: “Daylight” 10/10

Now, daylight is not on this album, but it is its own release and reached 1 billion listens.  I feel I had to mention it. This song really grew his name and is very very popular. This song even reached 33 on the billboard. This song is my favorite by a long shot. I feel the message can connect with tons of listeners. David really put a lot of emotion into this song, and we can see that in the way he holds incredible chorus. This song has a more heavy bass. This is the song I would recommend to many one who hasn’t listened to David Kushner because it really shows how talented he is.
