This week, I’m highlighting Maddie Winters, a senior on the Sartell Dance Team.
Maddie lives with her younger sister, Morgan, who is 15, her parents, Rick and Tracy, and her golden lab, Jack. She also has three older brothers: Justin (32), Zach (30), and Jake (26). She is closest to her sister Morgan, and this is how she would describe their relationship.
When Maddie isn’t dancing, she enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, shopping, and working out. She has been dancing for 15 years. She started when she was two and has loved it ever since. During her high school career, she has gone to state three times and hopes to go another time this upcoming season. Here is how she would describe what it’s like to go to state.
Looking back on her high school career so far, her favorite memories are going to football games and getting ready for school dances with her friends. To finish off the school year, Maddie is most excited about dance season, hockey games, and making more memories with all of her friends.
Next year, she plans to attend Mankato or UND for business finance. When she leaves, she’ll miss being able to hang out with her friends and family whenever she wants, and she’ll miss her dog.
