Brayden Simones, SHS senior, is a basketball and baseball star this year. He enjoys hanging out with his friends and family in his free time. He is the youngest in a family of five with an older brother, Dylan Simones, and an older sister, Jocelyn Simones.
Brayden is seen around the school as adventurous and outgoing. He is welcoming and friendly, along with always being open-minded and looking for a good time.
The Simones family is one of a kind. They are truly loving and supportive of each other’s goals and desires. They are never afraid of hard work and dedication. With a family of five, Gail and Mike are the beloved parents with the eldest child being Dylan, the middle child being Jocelyn, and the baby of the family, Brayden.

How has your father, brother, or other figure helped you achieve your athletics dreams?
“My Dad and brother have helped me reach my goals by guiding me through the ups and downs. Reminding me that perseverance is key.”
»No one makes it to the top without overcoming obstacles that would push most people to quit. Not only does it take physical strength to reach the top, but it also takes mental strength. It can be hard for athletes to look forward and think that their dreams are so far away. Perseverance along with continuous growth and improvement will get you so much closer.«
Why did you choose to play baseball for St. Cloud State University? Have you always been interested in playing for them?
“I chose to play baseball at SCSU because they have a really good team and it is close to home. And yes, I have always been interested in SCSU and I’m excited to get started.”
Favorite basketball or baseball memory and why?
“My favorite memory was staying in the hotel room for state baseball.”
Who is someone in your life that inspires you the most and why?
“My grandpa is definitely the most influential person in my life because he is the most determined person I know.”
