Tuesday 24th, 2024, the Sartell student council hosted the annual powder puff. Every year the junior and senior girls go up against each other playing touch football.
The seniors have had a winning streak, but this year the juniors were ready for a change. Both grades have practiced multiple times leading up to the game. Each grade had coordinating shirts, and the coaches for each grade had coordinating outfits as well. The dedication for this game was there; the competition was on.
The game was intense, each grade had what it took to win, but the juniors sealed the deal. The singular touchdown the juniors had was scored by Marni Koosman and assisted by Brynn Darling. The energy after the touchdown was indescribable. All the juniors were ecstatic! The juniors won by 6-0.
Each year powderpuff is such a fun event to bring competition between the senior and junior girls. I would highly recommend participating in the Powderpuff event next year if you are eligible too.
