Romane is a senior from Belgium and is one of the six exchange students at Sartell High School. Romane arrived in America on August 18. She is staying with the Beck family. So far, Romane is involved in girls’ tennis, and she hopes to do track and skiing.

What has been your favorite part about coming to America?
“The fact that nobody knows me, and I can make new friends, be open to everyone, and discover new things.”
What did you not expect about American high school?
“I thought it would be way easier, and it’s pretty difficult.”
What has been your favorite food in America so far?
“Corn on the cob.”

“Psychology and English.”

“U.S History.”
What are some things you like to do back at home?
“Hanging out with my friends.”
What is your family like back at home?
“I have an older brother and a younger brother and then my mom and dad. My family likes to go on vacation and go skiing.”
What do you miss about back home?
“I miss my friends and family. And I miss the bread.”
