This week we are highlighting Sartell senior, Hannah Diekman. Hannah has been attending Sartell School District since kindergarten. In elementary school, Hannah participated in dance, gymnastics, soccer, t-ball, and Battle of the Books.
Hannah hasn’t stopped participating in school-sponsored activities though. She is a track captain this year and her favorite event to do is discus. She is also in the Sartell Concert Choir and has been singing her heart out in Concert Choir since sophomore year. Her favorite part about choir is to be with friends.
Another activity Hannah is involved in is the Sartell Sabre Dance Team. She is a choreographer and also dances with her teammates. She has also been dancing at the Saint Cloud School of Dance since she was 2 years old.
Hannah loves being an older sister to her two younger sisters, Emma (14 years old, 8th grader at Sartell Middle School), and Molly (10 years old, 4th grader at Riverview Intermediate School). Hannah loves to spend time with her family and travel with them. Her favorite vacation she has ever taken with her family was to Costa Rica.
Hannah has been to over 25 states with her family.
She loves being outdoors, hiking, kayaking, and canoeing. She enjoys going to the cabin in the summer and loves to jetski, tubing behind the boat, water skiing, and surfing. She also has two dogs named Tiger and Lily, and a new baby puppy named Milo. She also has a beloved pet tortoise named Calvin.
After graduation, Hannah plans to attend North Dakota State University in Fargo. She will be majoring in education. When she archives her master’s at NDSU, she intends to be a teacher and wants to teach grades 4-6.
