The University of St. Thomas Dance Team hosts an annual spring clinic for aspiring future Tommies every year. This year the dance team held the clinic on March 17th at Schoenecker Arena, and it was held from 9am to 2pm.
The University of St. Thomas is located in Saint Paul, Minnesota and is a private university. The University of St. Thomas Dance Team is division 1. They perform on the sidelines and at halftime for school sporting events and compete in the jazz and hip-hop category.
The clinic consisted of technique across the floor and combos, skill stations, a jazz combo taught and choreographed by the Tommie dancers, a teaching of one of the Tommies sideline pom routines, and a hip-hop combo taught and choreographed by Trey Barber.
I thought the clinic was amazing and well thought-out, and I can’t wait to attend more in the future!
