Last week, my friends and I decided to go to Applebees to try the unlimited boneless wings that were being offered. It was a Friday night, and everyone was very hungry, so we thought we would try out the limited time offer.
Along with the boneless wings, Applebees was also offering a choice of breaded shrimp or riblets that were also unlimited. You could get all of this for $14.99, and I think we got our money’s worth. Unfortunately, the offer recently ended on February 11, which was the day of the Super Bowl.
I decided to go with the boneless wings on my first plate. The sauce that I chose to toss them in was honey barbeque. I find this to be the best sauce that I’ve had even though I have not tried many. The wings were pretty quality for being unlimited; they had a good amount of chicken and sauce, while also being very flavorful.
They start your first plate of wings off with about 8-10, but as you order more, the next plates come with only 4-6 wings per plate. The wings also came with fries and coleslaw, but we all avoided those in fear of becoming full and wasting space for more wings.
On the third order, my friend Will decided to try the breaded shrimp. He let me try a couple of them, and I thought that they were just okay. They were served with cocktail sauce that was also not very good. Overall, the shrimp was not better than the wings in my opinion.
