Timberwolves faced off in San Fransisco against the Golden State Warriors in what was going to be a heated matchup, but before the first points could be scored in the game, a brawl broke out between the two teams.
It all started when Jaden McDaniels was tugging on the jersey of Klay Thompson which led to Timberwolves center, Rudy Gobert trying to break the fight up, but for whatever reason this led to Draymond Green putting Rudy in a choke hold.
Gobert and Green had some long standing beef that has been building up for years. It all started when Gobert won his first DPOY (defensive player of the year) which Green thought he was snubbed of. Green felt cheated and held a grudge against Gobert and it wasn’t until a couple years ago were everything would be reignited.
In the preseason Green punched one of his own team mates Jordan Poole and Gobert responded by tweeting, “Insecurity is always loud.”
This would get Draymond Green heated and he would remember this until the end of the season. Green would retweet when Gobert and Timberwolves foward Kyle Anderson would get in to their own heated exchange. Obviously Gobert wouldn’t be happy with it so he decided to address it in his press conference.
Now in the beginning of this season when the Timberwolves played the Warriors, emotions were at an all time high. Because of this, it would lead to the scrum we talked about earlier.
Mcdaniels, Green, and Thompson, where all ejected from the game, and Green thought he finally got his revenge. Time will only tell if things have been settled.
