Every year during Thanksgiving weekend, local citizens have participated in the Wishbone 1K, 2 mile, and 5K races.
The St. Cloud YMCA runs this event every year, with the sponsors of CentraCare M Physicians Orthopedics (CCMPO), Scheels, EL-Jay Plumbing and Heating, Bernick’s, etc. This race is suitable for all ages with the variety of events offered. Youth can participate in the “Little Turkey” 1K run/walk, young adults to elderly may participate in the 2 mile walk, and runners may run in the 5K race.
This year the event takes place on November 23rd, 2023 or Thanksgiving morning. The 1K event begins at 8:00 a.m., and the 2 mile and 5K starts at 8:15 a.m.
The event costs $5 to register, including your race number, long-sleeve dry wick running shirt (before sizes run out), and medal if applicable. If you are interested in signing up for this event, use the YMCA website to register.
